Good News

Well, we received some happy news last week regarding my education... I finally got accepted into the Provo College Nursing program! After many months of stressing over what plan B should be, considering that BYU's Nursing program decided to reject me (their loss right?!), I was very relieved to open that acceptance letter. I start the program in January, and can hardly wait! That means I say so long to BYU, and embrace Provo College for the next 22 months. Things finally fell into place and we're very happy about it! :)

Happy Halloween

Is it weird to anyone else that we're already into the month of November? Feels like the semester just barely started. But Halloween has already come and past, and now we're into the holiday season. Kinda crazy. Life seems to keep speeding by. Anyway, we had a surprisingly fun Halloween this year. I was originally scheduled to be working at Sammy's til midnight on Halloween, but due to a little over-staffing and a little under-serving (Sammy's was dead that night), I was able to get off early. Happy day! I was already dressed up for work, so our next task was to get Jord a costume. He started brain storming while I finished up some last things at work. I soon get a phone call from my cute hubby telling me that he's managed to fit into my scrubs, which were a bit snug on him, and was planning to be a gay proctologist... A what?! Well, for those of you who don't know, a proctologist is a butt doctor. And the gay part comes from the extremely tight fitting scrubs that accentuated his back side and managed to show a little mid-drif too. :) Clever right?! I thought so.
So now that we were all dressed up and feeling spontaneous we decided to revisit the single party life style and hit up one of the Halloween parties in Provo with our friends Raegan and Joey. It had been a while since we frequented the dance floor and I remembered why I stopped going to those dance parties to begin with. Unfortunately, the line for the haunted house was a little too long, so we ended up not staying too long but it was pretty fun! After we stopped by 7-11 to get some hot chocolate and went home to watch a movie! Over all, it was an adventurous
night for us married folk and a heck of a lot better than working!

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon we headed to Florida to get on our Cruise ship to the Bahamas, which was a blast! Cruises are the best. Who doesn't enjoy a week full of all you can eat buffets, hilarious karaoke nights, and sweet beaches in the Bahamas?? One of the days while we were on Nassau island we rented a scooter and took a tour around the island. Luckily jord was driving the scoot because apparently they drive on the left side of the road in the Bahamas... scary! We were sad to say good bye to the honey moon, but excited to have reception # 2 in Salt Lake!

Happy Happenings

Geez I'm already terrible at this! I'm a little behind in my own personal journal here, so this may be a rather long update... bear with me!

Sooo after 3 1/2 long months of being engaged (which felt like FOREVER) we finally made it to the wedding date on August 14th and every part of the day was even more amazing than I had pictured it. Thanks to the many hands of my family and friends, the reception in Mesa was incredible. I'm not even sure I got to soak it in as much as I wanted to, but looking back on pictures now, everything was beautiful! Surprisingly, I even enjoyed being in the line for most of the time. And then when we hit the dance floor, the real party began! We had such a blast and part of me is disappointed that it happened so fast.

Luckily, we had the open house in Salt Lake to look forward to, which was just as amazing as the one in Mesa. Its been my dream since i was little to have an outside reception. When we decided to get hitched during the hottest time of the year in Mesa, I started to realize that my dreams may be ruined by the 115 degree heat. Luckily, I got to have the best of both worlds by having an inside one in Mesa, and a gorgeous outside reception at Jordan's uncle Scott and aunt Linda's house. The whole Christensen/Jorgensen clan put so much time and effort into the open house and once again, it totally exceeded our expectations. I loved getting to relive the night over again!

Once the wedding festivities were over, we started to get settled into our little apartment in Provo while starting school and getting back into the swing of things with work. Sad to say, its taken us these full 2 months to get settled but finally our apartment is starting to feel like a home. Its been fun for us to paint/decorate, but its kind of a lot of work. I can only imagine decorating an entire house... seems like a daunting task! Now we've jumped right back into hectic life or work and school, but married life really is the best. Everyone told me that before I got married, and now we get to experience it ourselves!
