Pick pocketing

Wanna know what makes me mad? Pick pocketing. You think it only happens to tourists don't ya? You dont think it will happen to you until one day it does. I thought to myself, I'm not some lost foreigner in a new city. I live here. I take the bus all the time. I'm a big girl, no one would steal from me in broad daylight. Boy was I wrong. I was supposed to have a nice relaxing day off today. Sleep in, go to the gym, do a little shopping downtown, watch a movie... You know, all the things I love to do. Welp, that all went down the drain when my wallet was stollen out of my purse while on the bus. Yep, some sneaky little devil stole it right from under my nose. Where's your conscience? Where's your mother who should have taught you better? Geez. By the time I noticed it was too late. I was so angry i wanted to cry. I angrily announced my discovery to the 20 people sardined next to me on the bus, but they all just stared.
So, goodbye 300 dollars worth of gift cards to crate and barrel. Good bye new hobo wallet that I loved. And goodbye to my nice day off. Hello countless calls to file police reports, cancel credit cards and get a new ID and temple recommend.
Guess it could have been worse. I could have been mugged. Or they could have taken my phone too. Still, no better way to ruin a girls day. As much fun as city life is, being pick pocketed definitely puts a damper on things.
On a more positive note, we head to Utah AND Arizona in less than 48 hours. Can't wait!
